“Happy Birthday Dylan darling!!!”

Yes, it’s our adorable nephew Dylan’s 1st year birthday and it called for a celebration!! Headed down to bro’s house around 1pm to help anni with the preparations. By the time Deepa & I got there, most of anni’s relatives were already there and there was so much of oos and aahs going around. Well, you can’t help it if the birthday boy’s a G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S little thing who has heads turning from everywhere just to catch a glimpse of that oh-so-handsome face!

By the time it was 2pm, chitti came over with her kids and then slowly, the rest of the Rengasamy clan (that’s what we call cousins from mum’s side) starting cramming the place. Hehe!! Unfortunately, mum wasn’t going to be able to make it cos dad had friends coming over for dinner that very same day and mum had to be around.

It was always great to be over at bro’s place. It’s the one place where everyone gets together for parties, occasions and reunions these days and I love every second I’m there. It helps that we’ve got a fabulous anni (sister-in-law) who never fails to enhance the quality of the gatherings by providing us with delicious food, lots of funny stories and tonnes of photo taking! She’s just like me, hee hee! We are certified photoholics!!

The birthday boy got a little cranky and started crying towards the start of the evening. Guess all the attention got onto him. Heh! And well, these days there is a remarkable change in Keagan. He’s no longer that mischievous and even sits down to listen to you if you’ve got something to say. All part of growing up, I suppose. He’s only 4 but the amount of knowledge that he possess is amazing and not forgetting he’s too a gorgeous young thing!

I love these boys and one day I hope to have kids like these of my own. The cute way Keagan calls me ‘atthai’ and Sivan ‘chitti’ and Kumaran ‘mama’ makes me giggle and he can actually remember the different terms for every individual! Impressive! He’s just so darn adorable la. If I start, then I’ll never stop!!

Catching up with Uma ka has always been fun. She’s a clown despite being 35 and that makes her all the more special. All my cousins are special actually. Senthil anna, Sivan, Kumaran, Raj anna, Uma ka, Latha ka, Kala ka, Lekshmi, Karthik, Saras and the remaining 11. We have 22 cousins on mum’s side. Mum has got 8 siblings!! Hee!

Sivan the princess came just when the cake was abt to be cut. She’s a busy lady as we all know but it’s really thoughtful of her to come down despite the hectic schedule. Now u know why u mean so much to me? For all these reasons and more… I am so glad I got to see you yesterday. I love you sweetheart!! Muacks!!

The night ended pleasantly with Guna’s call. He’s doing well and it was good to hear from him. He’ll be out on the 22nd/23rd and I can’t wait to catch up with him. Miss that pandi, really.

Oh well, so much for a beautiful Sunday. Hope ya sunny Sunday was just as great as mine. Till later, tata!
