Yesterday, my first day at SIM. Officially. Went for my very first lecture, Methods of Organisational Research. And what's my take on that?

I'm s-c-r-e-w-e-d!

Yes people, you heard it right. It has only been a day and yet I've already made up my mind that unless I putin 300% of hardwork, I wouldn't be graduating with a degree in my hands for a long, long time. Barely a week has passed and I've got assignment deadlines all given out and just when I thought things couldn't possibly get any worse, I realise that one 50% assignment is due on my birthday. Wow, wad luck!

Lecture yesterday was understandable to a certain extent and despite my drastic attempt at trying to jot down EVERY single damn thing my lecturer was saying, everything else seemed greek and bleak. Maybe I'd made a mistake after all. Accountancy might have been a better choice.
Yeah right!

Well, it has only been a day. Maybe I've judged the situation far too early and far too fast. Oh well, like I always say, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a better tomorrow.

After sch, I walked down to NP (my ex sch) for the ICS Open Meeting by the 23rd Mgt Committee. I needed the break after 5 gruelling hours at SIM anyway. Last night's meeting was by far the best open meeting I'd ever attended. Kudos to Uma and the rest of the 23rd MC. Tho it lasted for 2 solid hours, it was nevertheless entertaining, encouraging, motivating, educational and inspiring. I mean, what are the chances that can u come across meetings which possessed such great quality? I'm pretty sure that 40 new faces who turned up last night would be back, yet again for the upcoming recruitment camp.

Guna was present at the meeting but was late as usual. That prankster played a trick on me yesterday but I shall not go into details for the fear of embarrasing myself. Anyway I was glad he came cos we'd initially decided that we'd have a dinner date after the meeting since it's been ages since we've sat down and had a gd talk. Just then, dad's phonecall came and ended on a very unhappy note which made me lose my mood for the rest of the day. Result - Cancelled dinner date with Guna.

Parents! They sure do know how to 'make our days'! Hmpf!
