Today, while driving I learnt something new yet again, that if you learn to relax and laugh while you drive, you actually drive better than when u are quiet and stressed. Duh! Which brings me on to something else. Well, not really something else but something related to how laughing can do you THAT much of good.

I've came acrosee this book entitled "Anatomy of an Illness" by a certain author (can't remember his name at this point of time) where he tells you how he recovered from a crippling disease to resume a normal, healthy life. His main medicine - laughter in large doses. He believed that his serious approach to life has precipitated his illness and figured that maybe he might be able to reverse his condition through laughing/laughter. He literally demonstarted what people have been saying for years, "laughter is indeed the best medicine".

When you laugh, all kinds of wonderful things happen to benefit your body and mind. Endorphins (sorry, couldn't help putting this term in here. I was a biology student after all. Heh)are released in our brain which gives us a "natural high" and your respiratory system gets the kind of work-out it may get from jogging. Ok, now I sound like a medical student. Bleah. Well, in simple layman's term, laughter relieves pain. You can only laugh when you are relaxed and the more relaxed you are, the less pain you feel. In fact, you can't get ulcers and laugh at the same time. You have to choose one or another. The same goes for other illnesses as well. We often get sick by taking ourselves and life too seriously. Especially me. What we need to do is laugh to help us stay healthy.

Let's assume you are broke and have just smashed your car, or you're going through a break up or rough patch with your bf/gf or maybe your exams are ard the corner and you are freaking out. If all that is going on, why make things worse by being unhappy as well?

Do I make sense? I hope I did guys cos I've tried taking life a little less seriously and have started laughing more and if you ask me, I've never felt this much better in days. Try it, could work for you too, especially Vicky darling. You need all the laughter in your life for the stuff that's been gg on dearie. I wrote this entry with you in mind. Hope you've learnt something outta it too.

Well, I've finished what I've started. It's abt time I make my way outta here. Sweet dreams darlings! Muacks!
